    What does indication “category of sun filter” means?

    Usually the category of sun filter is supplemented by this information:

    Colorless or very light filter

    • category: 0
    • transmission: 80 - 100%

    Light filter

    • category: 1
    • transmission: 43 - 80%

    Medium-dark filter

    • category: 2
    • transmission: 18 - 43%

    Dark filter

    • category: 3
    • transmission: 8 - 18%

    Very dark filter

    • category: 4
    • transmission: 3 - 8%

    The category of the sun filter has nothing to do with UV filter and protection against dangerous UV radiation. All models of Relax sunglasses ensure 100% UV protection! The category of sun filter signifies the level of the light transmission of given sunglasses lens. Easily said deepness of the lens. The higher category of the sun filter the darker the lens is, the less light is transmissed and vice versa. The categories of the sun filter are divided into the 5 levels marked with 0 – 4. Certain category of given model is written on the temple of each model in form CAT + number of filter level.

    Are your sunglasses provided with the UV filter?

    Yes, all models of Relax brand are made from materials ensuring 100% protection against UV radiation A, B or C. The basic function of sunglasses is protection of the sight from influences of sharp sun shining and UV radiation. Sun UV radiation wave-length under 400nm is very harmful for sight and sunglasses lenses must not transmit it through.
